On the 6th and last night of prayer and fasting, after the Senior Pastor led the prayer for the leaders, he reminded the congregation of the Church’s mission;
“To make Christ Committed Followers who will make Christ Committed Followers” which is inspired by Matthew 28: 19-20.
Then he said to those who already have a discipleship group (D-group/small group) to lead a discipleship group under them. It is normal for him to encourage his flock to share the gospel to another being and led others into knowing God too, but what he said after struck me. He says something like this;
“Start your own D-group, it doesn’t matter if it bears the name of our church as long as it is about the truth of Christ – It bears the name of Jesus.“
That’s when I know that the church is not after membership, not after recognition, not after fame, not after the credits of accomplishment but is in the business of MAKING CHRIST KNOWN. (more…)
